Testing guide

Everything here is fictional. Never enter real student names, IDs, or school credentials.

1. Create student test accounts

1. Go to Create test account, pick a persona (Maya Sample or Jordan Example) and use an email inbox you control.
2. Confirm the email, then sign in. The account is seeded with fictional sample records.
3. Choose your own password — never share it or store it in code or docs.

2. Create the first admin

1. Create an account normally (it starts as a student).
2. The project owner asks Lovable to promote that email to admin. Roles cannot be self-assigned in the app.

3. Invite advisors or more admins

1. As admin, open Admin → Invitations and create a code for the tester's email and role.
2. The tester signs up with that same email and enters the code. Codes are single-use and expire in 14 days.
3. In Admin → People, assign students to an advisor.

4. Permission checks to try

• Student A cannot see Student B's portfolio, goals, or college list.
• Students can edit their portfolio, goals, career and college items, but not graduation or attendance.
• Advisors see only students assigned to them, and can update their graduation and attendance values.
• Only admins can edit school configuration, resources, invitations and roles.
• Signed-out visitors see no student data at all.
